![]() he creeps me the fuck OUT, just looking at him on video. But more than anything, something about that guy totally makes my skin crawl. There are also documented cases of eye color changing as an emotional response and violent offenders seeming to change appearance, even smell differently during attacks. I can't really say why either, other than I think it was a combination of the tone of his skin and his facial features somehow. Me and my mom had to give DNA samples so they could rule us out if our DNA showed up on the comforter as well.Ībout the hispanic thing - when I first saw him on Dateline, my immediate, at-a-glance impression was that he was Latino. The police weren't able to get any fingerprints or anything else other than those drops of blood. But 1-2 drops of blood seems normal from that experience. Luckily the neighbor is also a cop so she and her husband were able to arrest them. There were about 5 people that broke in, 3 were arrested inside the house and 2 women had gone back through the window they broke in through and hopped the fence to the neighbors yard. They were able to get to my house cause we live 0.5 miles from the police station pretty quickly so they were able to arrest some of the people while they were inside my house. They broke in through the bedroom window on the first floor and there were literally only 2 small drops of blood on my white comforter. My house was broken into when I was in the shower. Crazy worldĢ) Not professional or anything but speaking from personal experience. My thoughts on this case rest in 1) motive - why her? Why then? and 2) how has he not had any other violent charges before or after? - seems like a crazy big jump to that kind of violence. The blood on the window is pretty damning. I'm sure after 9 years Brittany had built this monster in her head with whatever features her brain produced, which may or may not match the actual person. In terms of being able to recognize someone, us humans place way too much stock in our conscious memory. Could she have been about to drop some dirt on her dad? I just thought it was weird that he wasn't more involved (at least in the episode of dateline). I was pretty curious why the dad didn't come up more? Hadn't she been living with him up until THAT DAY? She was meeting with her mom to talk about moving back in. However, I highly doubt that the defective "did some underhanded crap to get it solved" - after 9 years and 75+ suspects, why frame this one dude? I also don't think it's the mom. it's a tough case, especially cause it has been so long between the crime and the conviction. I just have lingering feelings about this case. ![]() Obviously we all know that people who turn out to be murderers (or would be murderers) are often able to fool those around them. I’m just looking for insight, not at all saying that he’s innocent or anything. Here is a link to one write up, and the video I watched was here. I couldn’t find much more about evidence on this case. What is the motive Marcell barely knew this person. Why was the mom so confused on the ethnicity of the man ( he clearly looks Caucasian to me but she said he was light Hispanic or dark Caucasian ) Why didn’t the mom immediately recognize Justin if she said that the image of the man was “burned into her brain” Why was there a perfectly round drop of blood left by the suspect? If it were from broken glass, wouldn’t it be slightly smeared or in a different blood pattern if the suspect was running away? Why weren’t there fingerprints on the shovel or mention of any other forensic evidence left behind (during a brutal attack you would think there would be something) I just watched a video on the Brittani Marcell/Justin Hansen case and I was left with some questions.
